What is lavender oil？
Lavender extract is an essential oil obtained by distilling the inflorescences of certain lavender varieties. Lavender oil is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a relative density of 0.880-0.900 and a refractive index of 1.465-1.470. Its main components are linalyl acetate, lavandulol, linalool, terpineol, geraniol, nerol, camphor, borneol, terpineol acetate, lavandulyl acetate, nonanal, pinene, myrcene, and ocimene.
What is lavender oil good for？
Lavender has a mild nature and a fragrant smell. It can be refreshing, calming, analgesic, help sleep, relieve stress, promote cell regeneration, balance skin secretions, treat burns and mosquito bites; prevent and improve hair quality; as the aroma spreads, the positive ions in the air increase, further regulating the human nervous system, promoting blood circulation, and enhancing immunity and body vitality.
Is lavender oil good for your skin?
Like vitamin E, lavender essential oil can be used as an antioxidant, whilst also helping to hydrate and rejuvenate skin. Both oils can help to ‘lock in’ moisture to alleviate dry skin, whilst also helping to repair wounds, support hair health and tackle inflammation.
Is lavender oil safe for dogs？
Topical application of lavender oil is perfectly fine, but the presence of two compounds – linalyl acetate and linalool can make it too toxic for dogs to consume.
